“First of all, technology saves”
Some people believe that technological advancements have made our lives simpler and more convenient, while others argue that these developments have led to a loss of important life skills. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
With the development of science and technology, our life has changed a lot. Some people think technology makes our life more simple and convenient, but others believe people are losing many important life skills because of it. Every coin has two sides. In my opinion, technology brings more advantages than disadvantages.
First of all, technology saves a lot of time in our daily life. For example, when we go to a new place, we do not need to ask people or remember the way, we just use the map App on the phone. Besides, we can pay by phone, buy things online and talk with friends who is far away from us. These things were very difficult in the past, but now everyone can do it easily.
However, some people point out that we are losing some skills. For example, many young people cannot cook, cannot read a paper map, and even cannot write Chinese characters correctly because they always type on the phone. My cousin is a good example, he cannot go anywhere without navigation. If one day the phone is no electricity, maybe we cannot do anything.
What is more, technology also makes people lazy in thinking. When we meet a problem, we search the answer on the Internet directly instead of thinking by ourselves. Some students even use AI to write their homework, so their writing skill becomes worse and worse.
In conclusion, technology indeed makes our life simple and convenient, but it also brings some problems. I think we should use technology in a proper way and do not depend on it too much.
